This is old restoran serving village dishes. There are two side by side, other ppl all blog the "New Loi Fatt" on the left, I go to the ori one on the right (if u stand facing the entrance. On a Saturday night, the new one was empty, and the old one was full.
Loi Fatt is popular, on the wall can see film star photo, most famous I saw was i think Alan Tam. Anyway, on with the food.
This is Hakka Char Yuk (pork) in claypot. Not authentic Hakka,
taste is o-k oni.
Steamed Patin. Well, can't go wrong here.
Fried Spring Roll (Chun Kuen). Nice, most tai-chow wont bother to do it nowadays.
Jiu Pai Tau Foo. With seng gua, its a nice dish although I cannot figure out what sause it is.
This is Big Head Prawn, cooked 2 styles. The head is used to cook steamed, and this taste delicious.
The body is halved to do Dry Fried style. Also flavourful and tasty!
Total above about 200+ liao, cos the prawn is not cheap (although cheaper than other tai chow) and got steam fish. This is an old favourite, I will sure return again one.
The address say 168 , Batu 9 Cheras. I think its more of Jalan 7 off Jalan Taman Suntex (off Cheras-Kajang Highway) according to google maps.
GPS Coord roughly N 3 4.177', E 101 46.277'.
One more nice food here is the Claypot "Shui Yu Kuan"瓦煲水鱼裙....sure you like it!!
