Four Seas Restaurant @ Bangsar

Located on Jalan Bangkung, this is a relatively new seafood restaurant, I think its same owner as Opus. Next door also.

The interior is dim, but I went on luchtime so sitted next to the window

There is a board writing down current prices and promotions.

We order tea and guava juice. the bread was served warm so that was nice.

This is Four Seas seafood chowder. inside has prawn, scallop, sotong, mussel.
The soup is light but taste is flavourful.

This is beer batter soft shell crab. tastes like cucur. and too heavy as a lunch appetise.

Oven baked mulloway on a bed of mushroom ragout and onion mint sauce.
topped with beet crisps. nice taste overall. the ragout is kinda sweet (tomato base)

this is Pan fried Cod on cous cous in caper dill sause.
well i not a fan of cous cous but the fish cooked well, sause was nice.

overall, i feel that the starters werent good but the entree is ok.
rm192 for the above, i better off eated next door at Opus.

Chao Yen Teochew Restaurant @ Sunway Pyramid

This is located along the Marakesh area of the Sunway Pyramid.

Teochew fun-gor is a good tasty dumpling with a great chilli sause to go with it. Eated while hot!

Lotus soup taste good and enough for two

Nice pork rib piece in the soup

kailan with mushroom and dried oyster. not bad la cos i like dried oysters.

Combination braise. I find the braise sause a bit too light. But the chili that comes with it is quite nice.

Teochew steam cod. Has salted veggie for the salty taste. Unfortunately the cod overcook.

Oh-nee. I love Oh-nee as a traditional teochew dessert.

This version is quite light, and seems only have yam and gingko. No pork or pumpkin.

Overall so-so only but the price is not cheap. I probably return for try the salted variety and eated porridge. But if you want to eat rice the dishes here are not suitable.

Axian Dim Sum Puchong (2nd posting)

Todays visit, service was good. It was 90% full but since they open a new shoplot i think things are not so cramp and rush.

Scallop Dumpling (Tai Ji Kow). I got a first basket which was gutter, but they promptly replace with a new and fresh one.

Prawn Dumpling (Har Gow) is also their signature item. It did not disappoint.

Prawn Roll (Har Kin) was warm but still crispy. I like to order this when dimsumming.

Fuhcuk roll. Inside is a fish paste, its ok la but I not a fan of fish paste.

Lao Sa Bao - somehow... skin is thicker than last time liao. Oh noes.

Chee cheong fun, prawn. The soy sauce was decent, flour not too thick and chili oil ok. Overall, above average.

Dog Vege Dumpling. Inside is pork and dog vege. Taste good if you like dog vege.

Another item i had was Salad Prawn. It was hot out of the kitchen and very tasty. before I can take picture already eated liao :P

Having eated most of puchong dimsum i have to say taste wise this is still my favourite.

If you go on a non-crowded time, this is my recommendation for dim sum in the area.

I simply loves this prawn Chee cheong Fun. the soy sauce also superior.

Chicken feed got radish slice, nice. Char Siew Bao can see the sliced charsiew. Nice.

This one RM14. Not worth it.

Har Gao, is ok la. I dunno how good can a har gao get, the prawn is fresh lor.

Another of my fav, is the Seafood Wad Tan Hor. Got 2 of each : prawn, scallop, fish slice, sotong.
Really nice flavour for those who are fans of chinese restaurant hor fun.

I go here once in a few weeks. It gets packed on weekends.

Oh, not cheap. ~Rm7 per dish, those at special counter are like RM14 per dish/bowl.

Long Feng Restaurant @ Renaissance Melaka

This is located inside Renaissance Melaka, my favourite hotel there. Its Halal, apparently.
Anyway just had a great weekend and checking out time, go up here to try the dimsum.

I like the slightly classic decor here

Nice teapot and soup container. Wish I had one ;)

I guess in the old days, the niceness of your porcelain shows ur status

yes i am southpaw

got private dining rooms also

This is seafood fried rice, taste ok la, its just friend rice rite...

Prawns were fairly big and crunchy, nice.

Average fair chicken feet

This dont look too good, taste wise is average too

The dumpling and sharksfin, I forgot the price but it wasnt too exxpensive.

This place has a nice setting, but the dim sum is normal (I love dimsum).
