U Banquet Mong Kok

When in Hong Kong must try the King of Har Gow at U Banquet. I tried the one along Nathan Road.

Every table got put the ad for their Har Gow

This is vege dumpling its very crunchy and nice

The Har Gow is big and very tasty with fresh prawn and thin skin.
Really topping in taste.

This prawn chee cheong fun is also very tasty but portion a little small, I eated in under a minute.

Another specialty of dumpling in XO sauce. Nice.

Phoenix Claw. Fantastic flavor and big claws, I never eated a better one before!

Prawns on siu mai. Faultless.

This is really good dimsum and the price is cheap also given the settings, average item was about HKD13 only.

This is a must-go when I go back here again.

Spring Deer Restaurant @ Tsim Sha Tsui

This place serves Beijing style food. We follow a recommended by a friend so we came here without booking on a weekday, they were fully book but gave us a table cos we were early.

The Siu Loong Bao was a little dry. Plenty of meat inside but not enough soup.

Four types of vege. Nothing wrong here.

Golden tofu with shrimp roe, this is quite tasty.

Peking Duck serve with roll and sauce. This is really good. skin crispy, meat tender.

I could eated the entire plate myself!

A Sang Choy Bow add on with duck meat, this was quite good too.

I would gladly return here again :)

Lei Garden Restaurant @ Tsim Sha Tsui

Booked a table for lunch to try out the famous 5-layer roast pork.

Very tiny portion of very exquisite taste of 5 layer roast pork serve with a form of mustard sauce. Skin is crispy, and the meat almost melts in your mouth

Nice har gow with big pieces of prawn inside. Delicious.

The loh mai kai is also nice in the lotus wrap.

Lau Sa Bao has sweet and creamy interior

Char Siew Bao has nice sliced char siew inside

Ham Sui Kok has very little filling and make the bite lacking despite crispy shell.

Siew Ma with big chunky prawn this is very tasty

Prawn Chee Cheong Fun is great skin and filling, pair with the fragrance of soya sos.

Good service, good food, really worth the Michelin star.

Restoran Hup Huat Melaka

This is a noddle house off lebuh AMJ towards Muar.

Ample parking on weekend

Taugeh dish is nice with quite fat tauge

Tasty steam chicken with oyster sauce but a little pricey

Supposedly the signature wantanmee but the char siew is drier and hard. noddles are ok.

Kuay teow konlo, I feels it taste better than the wantanmee

This fry wantan took a while to arrive but it tasted great! Crucnchy and a fresh prawn inside as filling. Only wish the filling was more.

Overall not bad place to go but expect to pay KL prices.

Bens General Food Store @ Bangsar Village

Came here for breakfast, been wanting to tried it for a while now. Decor is interesting, looks like a western deli of some sort. Lighting is not too birght, one downlamp per table. For breakfast, each table come with one toaster.

This is banana chocolate french toast with marscapone. Its nice bread and chocoloate, not too sweet. But the banana was far from ripe, and that spoilt the dish for me in a way.

Baked eggs - americana style. I like this dish. Nice flavours form the chorizo and all, and baking it really brought the dish together. What i did not like, was the portion. Really small.

Breakfast pizza - eggs royale. Not bad, interesting pizza, but nothing to shout about also.

Overall the food is not up to expectation, given the pricey of it. Will i return? Maybe, to try other stuff but with antipodean and plan B so near, this is not my first choice of breakfast place.
