LeMidi @ Bangsar Shopping Center

This place serve french/mediteranean cuisine, and considered is fine dining. We came across this place one dinnertime, saw its kind of new, so gave it a try.

I see the menu prices and I am like... okay... but we decided to give it a try anyway since we were hungry for something new.

I google this place and all I got was some invited reviews by a few bloggers, so i decided not to read on how they enjoyed their free food.

So here is the table. Got a cool container with vinegar and olive oil.

You can see view of KL from the restoran. Its really nice.

An amuse bouche! First time in my life i eated this, its eggplant hummus. Not impressed though. Creamy texture nia.

Some non alcoholic cocktail. Left is citrus one, right is summer, both sweet and refreshing.

They give hot olive bread. Hot buns are always nice.

Clear scallope soup with veggies. I like it very much, scallops are nicely cook too.

Lobster soup with saffron. Quite strong taste of saffron, very appetising.

Main course of king prawn, 4 slightly overcook prawns. Was not too happy liao as it cost RM88.

Beef tenderloin with duck liver in black truffle sause. Very earthy flavour, I only tasted a bit. Don't think its worth the RM108, but I am not a beef fan also de.

We had two dessert, tiramisu and creme brulee. It got too dark so only manage this photo of tiramisu, its very pleasant. The creme brulee was also very nice but quite sweet.

Overall o-k, let down by the main course, and also portion very small.
Service was good, attentive and prompt.

If feeling rich, may go back again and try some other stuff la. Total bill RM408, most expense dinner!

New York Deli @ One Utama

One day decided to try out this place, opposite Cold Storage in new wing LG.
The decor is quite cool and funky, and seating is a little different, if you like that sort.

Pumpkin soup was pretty ok, sweet!

The seafood chowder was watery... taste wise still acceptable

I like sosej so ordered the footlong one. I would only order this if I were hard up for a sosej.

This fish and chip size quite generous, but somehow the fish taste... not ngam. Better stick to fish and co, or others.

Although the items ordered weren't to our tasty, I think I will go back and try again. It can be a good place to meet frens, though.

Hing Ket Grill House

This at Kampung Jawa. Please go early like before 6:30pm to get best service and food. This is fried tanghoon. Its a good start to the meal, take note this item can arrive very fast.

This is roast lamb, goes well with mint sauce. A bit well done, so if you're not a fan of well done, dont get it. I ok though.

I like this grill pari, its perfectly cooked!

This is the big crab, its just grill I dont think there is any seasoning. If its fresh, it will taste good. If not, it will fail. This one i got tasted good, as good as plain grill crab tastes.

Butter prawn, the skin is also crunchy, i like.

Lala beehoon, quite nice. although there was a clump that was a bit too salty. (uneven cooked)

This is nyonya pari. As you can see, its VERY watery, and not very spicy at all. Despite the fish tasting freshness, I cannot say I like it too much.

This food here has ups and downs, but I think its overall quite good. About RM150 thereabouts.

Oriental Pavilion Dim Sum @ Jaya 33

Very crowding place during weekend dim sum. I asked for siu mai and har gow, the girl tell me " see the trolley. if got, got la, if dun have, dun have la"

Then I look at her funny and she sked, so she bring me a few items.

This is octopus. My frens eated, I dint eated cos I sked the tentacle stick to inside ur mouth.

This is fishball, taste is ok I guess.

This is yue piu and meat/fish paste. I think its nice esp. the sause.

Chicken feet. Nice ingredient but taste is bland. Dip the sause from the above dish, taste better.

Dunno what mai, but this taste good!

Scallop mai - got prawn, scallope and spinach. Ok la, but the fresh is there.

I love their Char Lobakko. Superb. I'd order 2 plate but the girl run away liao she sked I eated her so dint get to ordered.

This place is seriously crowded on weekend. Service, food availability is no good. But the food, well I can say is one of the better tasting around the area.

Will I return? Probably, but will go earlier to avoid the crowding.

Jaya Palace Dim Sum @ Petaling Jaya

This is dim sum at Jaya Palace. Some blogs say nice so I go try.

Chicken feet is alright, no problems, seasoned properly.

xiao loong bao tastes average, i felt it couold do with a little more soup.

Fried lobak ko was not bad too. It had right balance of chai poh. Not really spicy though.

The har gow was nice with big prawns.

The prawn chee cheong fun may look a little sad, but the taste was good, again it had big prawns that tasted good.

Last item was a stuff scallop, RM14 each. this one is not on the dimsum menu but the dinner menu, i had it last time i was there. its not bad la, but i love scallop so i ordered it.

Some say its the best dimsum in PJ, but I dont think so. Its good enough for a weekend outing with family, but I wont yearn to go back for dim sum.

Waterlily Bistro Tropicana

This is a nice balinese restaurant. I dunno how authentic cos I never go bali before.

Anyway I had the Siap Mepanggang which is half grill chicken in spicy sause. Quite tasty also but i could not finish the breast meat because it was a little dry.

Then I had the caramelised pisang dessert with ice cream, this is quite sweet, and portion is big for one person.

Not bad la, ambience kinda nice, can go paktoh one
